Authentic La Union ink dyed diablo by Calixto Santiago.  One of the very few artists who still used aniline dyes to colorize his figurines.  Giving a velvety texture that seep into the wood.  The inks are very hard to manage when using multiple colors as the liquid tends to spread.  This is the only piece in the gallery made in the exact same fashion as Oaxacan woodcarvings were made back in the 1960's.  Also, the last piece we have before this artist vanished.  This is a small but incredibly special piece.  Horns, tail, and tri pitchfork are removable.

Dimensions Approx. 5 1/2" tall 2 1/2" deep
