Majestic large to giant scale anteater with weight and effectual dimension. Moises and his brother Armando have their own signature color palette and in this Oso Hormingero we have a striking scheme of blacks reversing on whites accented with gray. The Jimenez family of Arrazola are the most historically celebrated and oldest carving family in Oaxacan art. Most revered is the unwavering style and instant recognizability. This weighty anteater is one of our favorites for it's crisp B&W contrasts and artful dynamism. This is a carving is a giant in weight and dimension. A size more common back in the 1980's.
