It is said by locals that only 20% of the Zapotec ruins have been excavated in Oaxaca. Farmers find fragments of jewelry, skeletons, and pottery and their imagination goes the rest of the way.
Here we have a very unusual Day of the Dead themed piece by an artist known for cats. This strange departure is the King of the Dead. This skeleton sits in a silver throne holding a cup with a real feather in it. Very cryptic wood carving like no other.
