This owl, designed by skilled artist Roberta Angles, exhibits a beautiful blend of purples and metallic blues. Starbursts, flowers, and glyphs add to its intricate pictographic patterns. Its striking saucer eyes and compact size make the Great Horned owl unique, with tufts of feathers rather than conventional horns or ears. In Zapotec culture, this owl was highly esteemed and revered as the most sacred animal.
