Hearty survivor of the New World the Peccary or Javelina as it is known in the Southwest and Mexico can be seen in herds up to 100 individuals. Often confused with wild pigs (razor backs) these low key jabali's feed on cacti blooms, plant roots, and seeds. This is a very special carving as it is so stylishly sculpted with complex geometry in all the colors of the Sun at different times of the day.  Dense copal wood makes this the heaviest of Lauro's pieces at Port Wahakaa.
