Amazing Marco Dillo

$ 75.00

Where did Marco go?  Nobody really knows.  One of a small handful pieces we have left from an artist that had supplied Port Wahakaa wish his high quality pieces for over a decade and a half.  Here we have the last armadillo by him.  Vibrant red underlying starburst patterns accented by several bands of contrasting geometric bands.  A  seven segmented tail compliments every color with a brilliant triangulated patterned tail.  This classic style of sharp simple Zapotec painting is slowly vanishing from the two villages that practice this painting method.
